You woke up and Al-Aqsa is demolished? Its all over the news...

Really what would you do? I hate my version of the story because my mental exercise goes like this…

What would you do if you woke up tomorrow and on your way to work/school you overheard this news Al-Aqsa mosque is demolished?

Nothing…. My guess is you would look sad for a couple of minutes talk about it with your friends… maybe blog the hell out of it for a couple of days… and then what! Simply nothing… Is the news on Huda's family death less tragic, is the Iraqi blood spilled every day any less tragic... Is Majeda's story of rape...

You would continue your search for a better job, more money and mind your own business... Maybe if you were so hooked on liberation or religion then you would shed a few tears upon hearing the news and maybe some more at nighttime just before you go to sleep… (THAT IS, IF “FRIENDS” WASN’T SHOWING ON TV THAT NIGHT)…
Really what would you do? It’s a bit sad maybe you can lighten up my day and show me the other version of the story…

Is there anything we can do now to prepare for that day... if it comes?

what will happen in jordan and the arab world:

protests all day long for about 2 weeks. governments all denounce the act. followed by 4 weeks of boycotting starbucks, pepsi, mcdonalds and kfc. everyone sports black and white keffiyehs.

a month and a half later to two months, everything back to normal.

hmmm interesting... But I think its a bit optimistic to have a full two week protest, all day long... could influence governments... It might paralyze the economy if it is in full scale... but who will lead such a protest... If I go outside my home and find everything going on as usual I'm not going to start shouting slogans!

My version:
Students will all protest going to school and rally to volunteer in International forces to go and fight in Palestine
Expats all resign from their jobs in all of the west and head home to support the nation's war effort.
War is declared in 47 countries throughout the world
47 countries declare unanimously Islamic Khilafa headed by Gaddafi as Amir El Mo2mineen
All women donate their gold for the war effort
All land is stripped from all politicians and states men because they have no jobs now. so they join the military effort
All factories in the 47 (now one) countries stop everything they're doing and start producing weapons
15 million soldiers converge on Palestine while the less than 1 million Jewish settlers take refuge in nearby Palestinian refugee camps and surrender to Hezbollah guerrillas in hope to escape certain death
All Israeli women call their sons, Mohammad
The US offers to share nuclear technology with the new nation in exchange for releasing two captured Air force pilots that were moonlighting in the Israeli air force
Qwaider wakes up as he feels something warm and very wet spreading around him in the bed!

It's depressing and sad that I can't believe in it...

These are the pictures that tell the story of tearing apart a landmark in this country's heritage. If you want to torture a man who has great passion for the history of Amman, all you have to do is take him to stroll down Jabal Amman and walk around the School that was built in 1947, the "Islamic Scientific College" It's wall once stood tall all around the buildings that constituted the architectural stamp of a different era. Jordan is still young, a country that is less than a hundred years, so when you talk about buildings that are 60 Years old. The first international football field , is no longer there, instead you will find the new buildings in this picture. Some of the most influential people in this country studied behind those thick walls. Including King Hussein, Ministers, Princes, Politicians, Opposition figures and many more.
