What Really Happened in Madaba?

Madaba is not a place known of being a troubelsome place, why would people fight overthere for Municipality elections? So many stories told on Families from Balqa voting for a candidate from outside Balqaa'... These are the stories you will hear in the streets of Amman and from people living there?!! I felt like an alien hearing the following stories... Am I living on the same planet?! True or not it gives you an indication of the people's reactions... what they feel and believe and that is something to take into consideration...

And these are some of the stories you hear in Amman streets...

During a meeting of some prominent families the elders/leaders clearly stated "we have instructions to vote to....." Some of the young & enthusiatsic said no... we are from Balqaa we always vote for our people why not this time... it became clear as the voting process continued that some were destined to win while others weren't...

Many people say that they have voted twice and even more, that it was clear the voting percentage had to go above 50% or else IAF would have proved they have the popularity they claim... I'm not saying this to validate that it's true... what's important is people's perception of events and if people think its true... inspite of all the media rush then we have what is called "azmet theqa" or mistrust... Foreign media representatives might be a good call in such events...
I think we are only seeing the tip of an electionberg... I don't remember that municipality elections were ever that important, lets see what happens in parlimintary elections... I personally will not vote, but would like to spend my day at the election centers, just to see for myself...

Well there are dozens of other stories. One interesting story of an army man who looked so upset before voting he said he had to vote for someone while his own cousin was a candidate. He must vote as an illetrate which means he has to say his vote not write it.

Some say, the government learned never to have votes in writting after what happened with Laith Shbeilat, when many of the Army recruits voted for him although they were given instructions to vote for others (because you couldn't know who voted in writting) after that, it was clear that if you want people to vote, it has to be "Ummi" votes so that the it can be monitored!
