20 years ago Tom & Jerry Burger in Amman

I loved Tom & Jerry - Shmeisani branch. And I wish I could eat one of those tiny nice burgers wrapped in colour coded paper...

Probably the first to serve real burgers in Amman? I remember the times when it was only Beefy in Jabal Al-Hussein and the famous hot new place where they have something called "Self Service" in Tom & Jerry - Shmeisany...

Believe it or not "Self-Service" was totally new it was only at Tom & Jerry that you had it. I was a kid back then and the idea of myself taking my own cool tray with the burger, fries and Drink was great. And when you're done you just empty the tray in a cool basket that has a nice swing door.

Almost every kid in the growing up in the 80's & early 90's ate at Tom & Jerry... Soon new branches started opening and food quality dropped like today's stock market in every new branch until one day every branch closed down. Hmmm reminds me of the sudden disappearance of "Majdy Home" and "Nabil Arafat Sweets", anyway...

I think Chillihouse was older than Tom&Jerry. There was also "Beefy" very long time ago in Jabal al Hussain. I don't even know what happened to it.
For people who were enjoying Hardee's in the 80's gulf states, Tom&Jerry was no match for the quality ingredients

No man, Tom&Jerry is older than Chili House but Beefy in Jabal Al-Hussein was the oldest one...

I think you meant Qween Burger not Burger Qween in Jabal Amman :)
Omar Snak and Jolliebee I remember clearly but the rest I'm completely lost when it comes to the others...

i think it was the most delicious meal for every kid in Amman.. we always talk about our memories of that tasty burger

Yes It was great... the only thing I hated about it is that it was so small...

Man, i always talk with my wife about Tom&Jerry every week! I used to go to Haya Cultural Center and at lunch, we used to get hamburgers from there, delicious. I also used to eat Pizza from a place in front of Haya Center in Shmeisani called New york New york, i swear man its the best thing in the world (or maybe i thought it was)
HAPPY Childhood memories are the best thing in the world. I wish i can go back to be 6yrs old again!
another thing, i used to go with my friends to Beefy downtown and eat something sweet which i forget its name (ice cream with things) that was great also.

I forget to mention : a place called submarine in Rabia, a nice burget place in 2nd circle(maybe queen birger); Jolibee (i guess u might die if eat now from jolibee), Shawerma Abu Shafeeq at 7th Circle.

Unlike you, I used to love old Jolibee's Madina Branch with special Ramadan offers... the whole meal for 1.5 JD's :)

I have no idea who Abu Shafeeq is... you have to tell me more about this place... maybe today...

True the best times ya man... Ages 0-11 just take out the horrible school time...

The first international football field , is no longer there, instead you will find the new buildings in this picture. Some of the most influential people in this country studied behind those thick walls. Including King Hussein, Ministers, Princes, Politicians, Opposition figures and many more.
