It's Ramadan, the last ten days of Ramadan are getting into me and I saw very very impressive Videos... The speaker is one of the few that grab my attention and has a subtle mesmerizing way of presenting what he obviously loves and the subject that he tackles is huge its "Literary Aspects of the Quran" add to that the fact that Arabic is not his mother tongue and was not born in an Arabic speaking family... He probes the power of the Quran in its original wording and touches on how miraculous it is by its own wording... The beauty of his work is that it is addressed non-Arabic speaking audience and he does a very good job at it... Listen to this guy Arabic or not he is unbelievable and by the way... He travelled the road from Muslim to Atheist to Muslim as well and speaks of his experience on "The Deen Show"... I'll post a link about it in another post soon... But this is one of the best I have ever heard Arabic speaking or not this is something worth you...

A full army is mobilized to attack 1.5 million Israelis living in the most crowded Ghetto on earth... Just imagine that the attack on Gaza is happening in the same exact circumstances but with different sides... Just imagine... The Israelis are under attack in Gaza and this massacre starts... Imagine that in two and a half weeks 300 Israeli kids are killed, 100 women, 100 old man, 500 men, half of them are civilians, 3,000 Injured... The killings also include Medics and reporters... ambulances are bombed, UN safe havens attacked with missiles... 120 civilians are gathered by the unhuman army in a building, told not to leave and the next day they are bombarded with artillery and tanks, leaving 30 killed and many injured... many many sad stories are still to be told... while others are recorded... And, why is this attack happening because after a 2 year old siege were Arabs are not allowing medical supplies, fuel and food into this crowded Ghetto... oooh, there was a retaliation, home ma...

This post is the ridiculous labour, mental exhaustion, hallucinations and contemplation of the tiny minute details that passed us by so quickly... In short its about the rise and fall of "fafies" in Jordan... A new breed rising on the bones of others... The amount of change that we are witnessing in Jordan is fascinating. When I was in School, I remember that if someone was saying (aal o olna) instead of (gal o golna) or (MAMA) instead of (Yummah or El-Waldeh) lol... Then the poor kid was quickly classified as a "fafy" type of person... belonging to the people who live in Shmeisani!!! For those of you who don't know what a "Fafy" boy is... its the boy who's spoiled, rich and a classified wimp... The bullies and the teachers would use the famous good old question, "Where are you from, Shmeisani!!" -laughing-... To indicate that a boy is spoiled belonging to a class that doesn't know how to fight with the rough guys coming from the poor...

1. If pirated software is an act of stealing, does that mean I should pay back a fortune to redeem myself for all the operating systems, games, videos, cassettes, utilities...etc that I have used during my life? 2. In almost every contract we sign with a company, there is the almost impossible paragraph on secrecy that is binding even after termination of contract; you know the one about not releasing any technical, financial, marketing...., in short any information gained during work at the company. Is this even possible?!? I mean, once you quite your old work and move on, the experience you have gained is definitely technical, financial, administrative...etc. That's why you're being hired in the first place for your experience!!! how can you keep it secret or not use it and educate people that are under you?!

It's like upgrading your senses from normal to superman... I just noticed that I'm exploring new levels of smell, its like being introduced to a whole new world of aggravated senses... Could it be related to fasting, maybe?! but then again maybe not, I guess I just made the connection today when I smelled coffee in the office... A faint but vivid pleasant smell and I don't even like coffee... A few incidents swept through my mind, the extra strong perfume in the elevator... maybe it wasn't that strong in the first place... The "repulsive beyond reason" cigarette smell in the car from yesterday's night out... Flashbacks everywhere, dots connected Ramadan and fasting is altering the way my body functions and it feels like being in a mysterious adventure in the middle ages... Now vision is a whole different story, I wish I could say I can now see a needle a few miles ahead, but its something else... I can capture so much detail in a single glimpse, its lik...

So what now? The tragedy certainly didn't end... It was merely the end of the beginning, we are known as Arabs for paralysis after small victories... possible outcomes of the investigation... Scenario (1) Al-Qaeda is linked! Who Sane is found guilty for damaging the country's medical tourism and officials in the ministry of interior affairs are keeping him under parole , fine required is 1,000,000 JOD's !! The hospital management files a lawsuit and asks for compensation to individuals including the poor receptionist. Hussein's father is also found guilty for parking the car for more than 4 days in suspicious manner. Some newspapers are running stories on possible terrorist links related to the old man and his suspicious third cousin's behaviour. Some students testify that the car hit another vehicle just before parking! HMMMMM Scenario (2) Conspiracy Theory: Medical Investigation clears the hospital staff and awards them with an esteemed award for protec...

The mind has a very powerful way of work, fascinating, effective and sometimes quite dangerous. The mind creates "patterns" based on past experiences and codes them in words and gestures that are easy to identify in order to make decisions on the fly. Experiencing a pattern over and over again makes it harder for a mind to change the way it perceives things. For example, if you had a bad experience with a dog... Your mind creates a pattern for dog behavior based on that experience... If you have two, three, four similar experiences your mind identifies this pattern so strongly that it becomes very difficult to change that established pattern and restructure it... This is a very useful trait but can be very dangerous as well; it is very useful because it makes it easy to identify dangerous conditions at a very early stage. Creating patterns and coding them is very useful in terms of establishing minimum communication. The mind doesn't have to experience the same behavior ...

The Army Uses this slogan, The Municipality, The Police Force, So many... But is it correct?!?

We know Divide and Conquer far too well in the middle east... Now how do you discriminate between people? its very simple, all you have to do is one step, focus on a few people who are ignorant and racist from any country or background.... lets say for example Jordan & Iraq, Northern Tribes & Southern Tribes... Anything... JUST Broadcast the actions of any of a racist couple of guys in the media... And voalla divided and conquered... People from either side will GENERALIZE.... without even thinking about it, its built in in their brain... stereo typing... And before you know it, before the clip is finished one of the family members watching the news will say... oh, Those low level Jordanians... they were always like that, they did this and that... And on the other end you will be hearing all the racist comments you never thought an intelligent person would say... "man, those Iraqis, they destroyed our country... I can't buy an apartment" "those Egyptia...

It's interesting when you look at events from a distance... Let's work on the short term memory for a second... 1) Syria declares we are ready for peace with Israel, give us guarantees that the Golan Heights will be returned to Syrian sovereignty ... 2) Two days later, Najad flies over to meet with Asad alone and then with other government staff... And they declare a united position on facing situations in the region. 3) Najad also meets, Nasrallah ... 4) And Khaled Mash3 al ... Who would link the four points for me?! Since there is nothing on the news at this moment... If there is a link in the first place...

I just wonder why would anyone give such a name to wireless technology... Just think about it for a second تقنية السن الأزرق seriously, how can you write a seriuos article with that heading LOL... it would probably suit a comedy series or something of that level... If this was the name of new tech in the Arab world... it will be ridiculed for ages... don't you think... Anyway, I'm just amazed and curious to what brought this name into the hi-tech world... Would you do it face to face... Why is it so easy to curse people on comments? It's absolutely unlike you in real life... but when you comment... ya 7 aram the poor guy who happens to disagree... In real life you might be so peaceful when you disagree with someone... (especially if they are from the opposite sex) but not on blogs... its a totally different story... Maybe I should have wrote comment wars... You see them all the time, one person places a comment here another one disagrees, a third one supports one... a fourth might attack all three and before you know it... You have people in groups, shouting, cursing, insulting each other with some really bad words... You will have people becoming racists in their comments, something they might never do face to face with someone... you find people categorizing others... holding grudges, making friends and die hard enemies... Is it real life with no masks, showing your true self... Or is it just easy letting the steam out when there...

Really what would you do? I hate my version of the story because my mental exercise goes like this… What would you do if you woke up tomorrow and on your way to work/school you overheard this news Al- Aqsa mosque is demolished? Nothing…. My guess is you would look sad for a couple of minutes talk about it with your friends… maybe blog the hell out of it for a couple of days… and then what! Simply nothing… Is the news on Huda's family death less tragic , is the Iraqi blood spilled every day any less tragic ... Is Majeda's story of rape... You would continue your search for a better job, more money and mind your own business... Maybe if you were so hooked on liberation or religion then you would shed a few tears upon hearing the news and maybe some more at nighttime just before you go to sleep… (THAT IS, IF “FRIENDS” WASN ’T SHOWING ON TV THAT NIGHT)… Really what would you do?
